ARLINGTON, Wash., Dec. 16, 2013 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — Glasair Aviation USA LLC is proud to announce it has received a LODA (Letter of Deviation Authority) to conduct Flight Training in its Experimental Aircraft.

Glasair developed a transition training program and applied for the LODA in direct response to recommendations made to the industry by the NTSB in their 2012 study into safety of Experimental Amateur-Built Aircraft (NTSB/SS-12/01).

Flight training considered acceptable with a LODA includes:

a. Initial flight training for the operation of specific make and model of experimental aircraft.
b. Recurrent flight training for the operation of a specific make and model of experimental aircraft.
c. Instrument competency training for specific make and model of experimental aircraft.
d. Training for a flight review in a specific make and model of experimental aircraft.
