OAKLAND, Calif. — Oakland Military Institute (OMI), a free college prep charter school, announces several members of its senior class have received college acceptances. The school provides a structured and rigorous academic college preparatory program for Bay Area boys and girls in grades six through twelve. “We are proud of our students’ achievements,” says Dr. Mark P. Ryan, Superintendent at Oakland Military Institute. “OMI teachers and staff are committed to developing students’ academic skills and talents to help them be college-ready.”

Some cadets are still waiting to hear from colleges. They have until May 1, 2009 to choose the college they will attend.
