IRVINE, Calif., Sept 10, 2014 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — EPIC (Edgewood Partners Insurance Center), a retail property, casualty insurance brokerage and employee benefits consultant, announced today that Tiffany McClellan has joined the firm as Regional Director Employee Benefits. McClellan brings 16 years of experience in strategic market planning, sales organizational leadership, new product/service development and health and welfare plan consulting to the firm.

As Regional Director, McClellan will focus on growing EPIC’s employee benefits consulting business in Southern California, recruiting and adding producer/consultants and specialty service teams, and fully integrating EPIC’s national Employer Services platform into local client offerings. McClellan will be based in Irvine and will report locally to Jim Gillette, Managing Principal of EPIC’s Southern California Region.

McClellan will also work closely with John Connell, EPIC’s President, Employee Benefits of California, on all Benefits Consulting growth, product development, service and business development initiatives targeting the Southern California Region.

“Tiffany has been a leader and innovator her entire career,” said Connell. “Her beliefs, principles and ability are very well aligned with EPIC’s core values of client service excellence and client advocacy, which will be instrumental as we continue to refine and execute our plans for further growth and expansion in Southern California.”

Prior to joining EPIC, McClellan was a principal with Mercer’s Health & Benefits practice, responsible for growing revenue and managing the sales and service teams as a part of the Southern California Region.

McClellan spent the prior 14 years with ADP, specializing in employee benefits automation and integration. She held various positions from managing implementation teams, to sales and product development across a suite of benefit services offerings for large employers.

McClellan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Community Health from Tufts University in Massachusetts. Professionally, she holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and Group Benefit Associate (GBA) designations.

“I’ve had the opportunity to work with several outstanding organizations and none have offered the personal growth and ownership opportunities, creativity and ‘people first’ culture of EPIC,” stated McClellan. “I’m very excited to help lead EPIC’s growth and contribute to our national expansion initiatives.”
