TALLAHASSEE, Fla. /Florida Newswire/ — New job creation and unemployment numbers were released this month showing unemployment down from 10.6 percent last month and 12 percent in December, to 10.3 percent October.
The state saw 9,500 new jobs added, bring the total net new jobs for the year over the 100,000 mark, a significant milestone.
“Florida’s economy is headed in the right direction,” said Governor Scott. “Obviously, we still have a long way to go, but this is great news heading into the holiday season.”
