TAIPEI, Taiwan, Mar 04, 2019 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Taipei, Taiwan-based Ward Henderson Management will hold its annual fundraising dinner in July of this year. Proceeds from the event will go to a local children's foundation to help with the running costs of the organization.

Children growing up in families affected by poverty are less likely to receive the essential necessities such as education, food, clothing and proper medical care. These children are often less likely to develop properly and may fail to reach their optimum physical, social and cognitive potential, placing them in a disadvantaged position later in life.

Although the incidence of children living in conditions of poverty is relatively low, with only 25 percent of children experiencing conditions of poverty during their first five years of life and less than 10 percent living in persistent poverty past the age of 6, Ward Henderson Management has undertaken to raise much-needed funds to support organizations working to assist needy children in Taiwan.

"A major contributing factor to the prevalence of children living in poverty in Taiwan is parents who are either unemployed or lack the level of education required to secure employment. As children who are living in poverty may face similar issues to their parents as adults, it is imperative that something is done to break the cycle," says John Maxwell, Head of Public Relations at Ward Henderson Management.

Ward Henderson Management's annual fundraising dinner will include a silent auction and the firm is calling on other companies in the financial services industry to donate prizes for it.
